Places to go | 3 Mini Road Trip Routes with Your Furry Kids – Northwest New Territories

If you would like to take your furry kids out on a journey to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life during the holidays, going on a road trip is definitely a great choice! This week, we will present 3 one-day road trip itineraries for pet owners to unwind with their pets. It's always wonderful to get some fresh air and enjoy outdoor activities like swimming or even take pictures while admiring the flowers. Continue reading to learn how to make the most of your holiday with your furry kids!

 

Route 1 - Flower Viewing and Swimming

 

Route: Lotus Café > Shun Sum Yuen > Dog Come > YOHO Mall

 

Depart from Sheung Shui, first have lunch at Lotus Café, then visit Shun Sum Yuen, a magnificent sunflower field, for sunflower viewing. Shun Sum Yuen is an excellent site for photographing dogs in the midst of blossoming sunflowers! After that, it's time to have some fun at Dog Come in Yuen Long! There is a dog swimming pool and an outdoor play area for furry kids. Finally, Yoho Mall is a perfect place to end the day, where you may go shopping and have dinner with your pet.

Route 2 - Downshifting Day with Hiking and Shopping

 

Route: Duen Kee Chinese Restaurant > Tai Mo Shan Lookout > Sky City > Hooment

 

Depart from Tsuen Wan and stop for breakfast at Duen Kee Chinese Restaurant before heading to Tai Mo Shan Lookout to appreciate the gorgeous scenery with your furry kids. Enjoy your time hiking with your pets! Bring them to Yuen Long Sky City after the climb for a peaceful afternoon tea. There are several pet-friendly restaurants! After a delicious afternoon tea, the Hooment Pet Life Museum is an ideal location to get pet supplies for your furkids. Make a good haul and return well loaded!

Route 3 - Secret Spots for Taking Instagrammable Photos

 

Route: Cruising Coffee > Tai Mo Shan Lookout > Dog Come > YOHO Mall

 

Depart from Yuen Long and begin the day with a cup of coffee at Cruising Coffee. Then, head to Café au Lait for a relaxing brunch and to appreciate the cultural variations of cafés. Last but not least, Ho Wo Street is one of the best and most relaxing places in Hong Kong for catching the sunset. Grab your phone and help your furry kids capture this moment with the sunset!
